Alexa and Tom first crossed paths at ESPORTA Fitness during their 5:00am workouts. When Alexa first noticed Tom, she had a feeling she wanted to get to know him. After a little Instagram investigation to confirm he was single, and with some liquid courage following an Ohio State win, Alexa sent Tom a message asking if he’d like to grab a drink sometime.
Tom replied that he would love to, but he was leaving the next day to celebrate his grandmother’s 100th birthday in Sandusky. They made plans for the following week, but in the meantime, the texting between them never stopped. On September 17th, they met for drinks at High Bank Distillery and immediately knew there was something special. Tom planned the next few dates, and as they spent more time together, it became clearer they had found that special feeling they’d been searching for.
Tom proposed to Alexa nine months later, with the help of a well-planned decoy from one of her friends, completely surprising her and making the moment even more special! Since then, they’ve loved building a life together: hosting friends, cooking and making cocktails, traveling, and spending time with their dogs, Presley and Layla.
When it came time to choose a wedding venue, Alexa had long dreamed of getting married at Nemacolin. It felt like fate when Tom shared that he had grown up visiting Nemacolin each year for Thanksgiving with his family. Together, they knew it was the perfect place to bring their families and friends to celebrate their love.
